People tend to be obsessed with all kinds of activities in bringing auspiciousness in everything in life. In Feng Shui, one’s luck, life, love and wealth could be enhanced, suggested, changed, architectured, depending on many factors and practices.
In the midst of all of life’s problems, dissolutions, I can offer answers and solutions. In Feng Shui, many flowers and plants, even fruits can be luck bringers or enhancers of good Chi. Having a lot of good Chi and luck is always a welcome thing in the year of the ox. See my 2009 Predictions for more information.
In the garden, the blooms attract bees, butterflies and dragon flies which are also considered as symbols of auspiciousness. Fruits also attract birds and bats whose presence day or night invite positive Chi.
Plants are symbols of growth, progress, health and protection. Flowers signify a new beginning, happiness, hope and love. Fruits are the products of toil, the realization of dreams. They mean to be the attainment of goals, success and endeavors.

In feng shui, the ox is the second animal that responded to Buddha’s call before he passed away. This indicates that its hour is believed to be between 1:00 to 3:00 am. Anyone born between these hours will possess the ox’s virtues of patience and forbearance. And if a person was born in 1913, 1925, 1937, 1949, 1961, 1973, 1985, 1997, and 2009 he or she may be described as conservative, honest, simple, hardworking, reliable, at times slow to response or reactions, and strong-headed to the point of being stubborn or self-willed.

The general direction of the ox is north – northeast or 7.5 degrees – 37.5 degrees in the compass. This sector of the house, lot, business office or hall occupies 30 degrees and is the part of the area considered as very lucky for those born in the year of the ox. If you were born in the early part of January of the year mentioned, you still belong to the previous sign which is the “rat”. Likewise, if your birthday falls in the early part of January of the next year, you still belong to the ox’s realm.

Just like the aura in astral energy, a person’s chi energy field projects outward from his or her body. This chi energy affects one’s self-thoughts and feelings and interaction with others. This energy is influenced by the material, the color, pattern and in some ways the style of clothes he or she wears. This year of the ox, dress for luck and success. Clothing made of natural fibers like cotton, silk, linen, wool and leather are good. But wool and leather must not be worn close to the skin. There must be another cloth that will keep them from touching the body’s skin.
Avoid wearing synthetic materials. These will prevent the free flow of energy to and from your own chi energy field. This will make it hard for you to communicate and interact with people around you. These artificial materials will also make you feel tired, un-concentrate and later even have physical and emotional ailments.
